Red Chair Sessions
In time for Valentines! We are excited to announce a new “Limited Edition” session option… Red Chair Sessions. These sessions are in short supply – only 20 – across 2 days. Friday, Feb 4 and Saturday Feb 5, 2011.
Why the RED CHAIR?
That’s a great question… Red POPS out of images… It has passion, excitement, fun, and boldness. It says – “LOOK AT ME”! It’s time you had an image that said that too… Being photographed with a bold prop will make images that will STAND OUT and get NOTICED!
How does it Work?
Red Chair sessions are designed to be “Digital Only” sessions. This means that we will provide you with printable digital images! That’s right - the images will belong to you…
- Each session will be 15 minutes.
- Up to 8 people can be in the images.
- Images will be viewed and chosen immediately after the session.
- Session includes 5 high resolution digital images.
- Images will be delivered online within 3 business days.
Session fees are $250 including your 5 favorite images… So, gather up your kids, clean up your hubby or just come by yourself. It’s a great time and a great chance to have the fun and exciting portrait you’ve been dreaming about!

Gift Idea #1 – Photography Classes

Classes run Jan 12, 19 & 26 from 7-10 PM. We’ll be covering camera basics – what all the different settings and buttons do. Next we’ll discuss lighting – how to use flash, how to see natural light. From there, the discussion will go to composition and design.
Finally, the class will cover software and basic adjustments to perfect our images. Storage options and final output will be part of this discussion.
Each evening will have 2 hours of instruction with the final hour dedicated to Q&A with Mark and the experts from McBain Camera.

I’m excited to announce that “Foundation of Memories” is back!
We are proud to partner with the Chinook regional Hospital Foundation to offer portrait certificates. Each certificate is good for a portrait session (in studio or on location in Lethbridge) and includes an 8×10 portrait.
Certificates are $99 each. They are available exclusively through the Foundation office or can be purchased online. Follow this link for more purchasing info… The full $99 is donated to the Foundation and goes towards improved health care for our community.

I love my job. Really.
Lots of people just think of us as portrait photographers when really we have a strong portfolio of commercial work as well.
I get to do some really cool things. Like go for a ride in a plane (and take my son).
Last week we were photographing a new development from the air and I took these shots from inside the plane with my super wide lens… Enjoy! Thanks to Pieter from Excel Flight Training for the GREAT flight!
